The trigger point is a small nodule in the muscles. At this point, the muscle “forgot” to relax. It arises from long-term monotonic stress, shock overload, cold, or stress and lack of fluids. The tension it causes is further spread by the body through the muscle chains. The longer it stays in the muscles, the more its effect in the body expands. The pain caused by the trigger point can then often be observed in another part of the body, we are talking about transmitted pain.

If we can find the trigger point, which is not easy, we have a good chance to remove it. The most common, and I think the most effective method is, simple finger pressure, tolerable but emphatic. This is also called ischemic compression and the trigger point literally melts and disappears. The goal is a total relaxation of the massaged and deep free breath. The results are significantly enhanced by warming up the muscle, for example with the help of heating peat pillows and then stretching it with the help of suitable stretching exercises.
